I was thinking of burning off the top layer and seeing if they grip very well. They are kinda dry rotted, but they hold air.

they grip as long as its not wet outside. they can break loose easy. made driving my car fun in the rain. hit some black ice once a spun around like four times.

Since im a cheap ass, I usually wait it out and get front grip tires for free... eventually. But I think ill invest 100$ in some proxies for the september event.

I do. And home depot sells a cheap husky one thats small. Ive personally used it and it does a nice job.
