at least it is all one color now. just need some wet sanding to smooth out the spray lines and it will look good.

you should have waited to spray paint in that case since you esencially made it harder on the painters to paint your car with the spray paint

i am the one painting the car myself, i have already painted a car with bob.

this was not actual paint just primer i sanded down the whole car b4 i laid it down, so all i have to do it just wet sand it till its all smooth and i lay down the paint over this.

even if its primer? we used the 22 dollar duplicolor jet black and it stuck to the te72. <a href="http://s141.photobucket.com/albums/r50/ ... bobste.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r50/ ... bobste.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

i scuffed up the paint underneath like hell so it stuck to it real nice plus i have done it on bobs car. i can see how it wouldn't stick unless i did all the prep work, essentially the duplicolor cans of automotive paint are the same as the can just shot through the gun so it should work like b4 on the te.

rattle can primer is made for rattle can paint and is not designed for automotive polyurethane paint

it stuck cuz it is the final coat right? if you try to put something like PPG or BASF on spray paint it might stick or it might fish eye cracking and possibly other issues like pealing.

call a lewis auto color and ask them. they will be able to give you a lot of advise on paints and primers

i think i see what u are saying.

yeah it was the final coating on it, i will be using the same cheap duplicolor off the shelf premixed stuff from autozone nothing fancy so it should work the same.

now if i decide on using something else its only 1 light coat so i could sand it all down anyway.

i got you you are doing a rattle can special. i thought you where talking about a professional type job. gotch ya. yea that will stick all day long. i have actually seen some very good results with this method. i would suggest buying all the paint at once from the same box if possible so there is a less chance of a color variant
