Too long to be an 1/8th, That corolla was just BOOKIN!

If he hadnt swerved as much it would have been faster too. Wonder if its a 4age?

Yep that babies fast...in a straight line.

He'd beat mine by about 4 seconds going straight but I bet if we raced a 1/4 mile curvy course I'd beat him by WAY WAY more than that. :D

They're running a 2rz-fe from a Tacoma. I have a magazine that features the paradise racing car. I'll try to get some scans of it. I think it was a free publication from about two or three years ago.

Okay, I found the article...

"The AE86 is powered by a 2.4L 2RZ-FE motor out of a Toyota Tacoma. The engine gets its breath from an Innovative T74 turbocharger pushing 45 psi. That boost is controlled with an Innovative progressive boost controller, and supplemented with a Nitrous Express nitrous system, which is also progressively controlled. A Head Games-ported head with stock Tacoma cams flows the CFM needed to handle all that air. An AEM EMS, tuned by Sean Glazer, handles the fuel delivery and spark timing. The current setup yields in the neighborhood of 900 horsepower at the rear wheels, with stock cams and the cam gears untouched. All that power is pushed through a G-Force clutchless 5-speed transmission and Moser Engineering driveshaft out to a Moser Ford 9"-style Rear. The Corolla rides on QA-1 suspension on all four corners and Goodyear 29x12 slicks put the power to the pavement, and hook to the tune of 1.17 sec 60' times."

This was from OverRev Magazine from August 2005. I picked it up free at Maximum Velocity when I used to work there. Tim was just handing them out.
