ah, come on now alan. poor tire choice makes the shelby a total fail? give me a "brake".

i'll still go with the shelby. better tires is easy and some suspension tweaking. that's a walk in the park.

sorry for bugging the thread, but for the hell of it im going to get a 87 fox body do a whole suspension swap, and drop in an SR20 or a 1JZ with a turbo kit( still dibating on that) or just turbo charge the 5.0 thats in the car then we'll see what happens.. but i'll keep you guys posted on that.

a fox body with a 4 cylinder? if you want to put a import motor in then at least put in the 1jz in. i dont think the sr20 will be a good choice. i would put in a v8 toyota/lexus motor and build it to rev

I know the SR is going to need some engine bay & chasie mods,i also looked at a lexis 2UZFE v8 but i dont know i still need to figur what drive train components im going to need also, i have a VIP project im going to start to on a Q45. so money might be tight but ill figure something out, i can get a 1jz out of a 89 supra for nearly nothing but we'll see.

i'll give you that: who ever it was that decided to send the shelby out on tricycle tires needs a "what were you thinking!?" slap to the back of the head.

but you know, shelby and hennessey have one thing in common: LONESTAR BOYS!

i love it. totally love it.
