Ok after seeing this clip and many more like it from JDMinsider and noriyaro.com I see that Japan has MANY drift courses and events that go on over there. I know that alot of people still drift on the street for the excitment and "practice" lol but does Japan have strict road laws or no? Cause seeing as many vids as I do there mostly shot during the day and some at night and even that there are 10+ cars there at a time I see. Or is it like a underground thing that goes on? Im just curious...

it depends japan is a country not so much a state like tx, some places have to deal with the cops while others don't not to say it's legal but the cops aren't out to bust ppl like in the states as much the crime rate is like -23423490898 so everything is more chill on those kinda things but they wouldn't even have to be rebellious and street drift since they have access to such nice tracks for decent prices but some do still street drift if that helped any
i might be moving back in the next 2 years so i'll tell you when i go back

I lived in Japan for 10 + years. You can hit up a mountain or just find some nice roads to drift on easy. Cops were cool at the harbor docks when we drifted there. They would turn on there little red light and drive under the speed limit to get there. That would allow ample time to go meet up foe 30-45 min at the nearest store. After that we would go back and 30 min later they would also. I remember drifting on a mountain near my house with a few guys and girls. We would go from bottom to top then top to bottom on the same side. I lived on the other side of it so when I was ready to go home I just kept going to go down the other side. Well around one turn the was the police van blocking the road. It was kinda like a stand off between him and my silvia for a second. He looked at me and I looked at him. I put it R and punched it and flipped around. Hauled ass down another road andmade it home. I think after he seen I was going get the hell out of there he didnt even get in his van.
