I've been there, and yes this stuff gos on daily. ....even in trafic. They are totally NUTZ.

that's just complete and utter negligence on each of their part. no contingency plan and total disregard for the people they could leave behind.
i've seen footage of people also getting slammed trying to cross the straight when one of the careeners are already barreling down the bowling alley of death.
here's the correct equation for what's being witnessed:
shunting skill + lack of safety skills = 0
