not true ueo tie rods give you a lot more angle by using the fact that corolla steering racks have more teeth than they acctually use these tie rods take advantage of that and basicly give you the max amount of steering angle that you can have without hitting fram rail and fenderhvguy wrote:That doesn't change the amount of steering you can get out of 2.5 turns. It only replaces your OEM tie rod ends.CBR_TOY wrote:so in other words..... just get aftermarket tie rods and call it a day.
Vicious steering angle

the rack hits a positive stop before it runs out of teeth the spacer allow the rack to clear the positive stop and use all the teeth that are machined on it. this is why you cant run power steering with it because the rack will go outside the seal teeth. The ueo tie rods come with the spacer machined into them its basicly the same thing.

the only way i can see achieving this "ZTR" you're talking about is in the following illustration i mocked up:
extensive chassis modification to inner fender wells and possibly the undercarriage. cutting into the undercarriage is NOT a good idea. cutting a channel through can be accomplished but only by reinforcing the area and adding new reinforcement to regain front end support integrity.
eliminating ALL clearance limitations can be done. but will the "gains" be worth the effort and will they create a new problem or compound existing ones.
remember, every corner has an actual max speed it can be taken at which is determined by the car's mass, tire and surface contact and the natural phenomena of inertial and centrifugal force. you then have to determine what is the optimum counter directional angle necessary to re-direct a body in centrifugal motion. too much "counter steer" is just as bad as not enough.
anyway, just some thoughts to wet ones whistle.

For a small bit of gas money, I'm sure I could fit your corolla on my trailer. And spend 100$ on toyo proxie T1r's for the front.Nasser wrote:i have a really bad erge to just blow the 400$ on gss and also spend money on buying a new front set of tires and a buncha cheap power stars for the rear and get in some bad ass seat time
How'd you do it?nt66 wrote:uh my car has more angle at lock then the one in the picture
