Wheel fitment/look

A buddy of mine gave my son a smoking great deal on some VarrsToen V2 wheels (the style reminds me of the Equip 03s). They are 15x8 +0 with 195/45-15 tires mounted. Does anyone know what the fitment for those would look like on an '86 GT-S Coupe? Are we going to need to roll the fenders, or add a fender lip to accommodate these?

no rolling should be necessary. had a few 15x8/7.5 0 offsets with 195's and none of them rub.

had 15x7.5 -8's all around on 195 and they didnt rub either. my fender's lips were rolled in though...

Is that 195/45-15 going to look like a big truck tire on there?

That tire is going to look tiny gambz! I hope you remember me from TN.com!

I'm running 50's and they are pretty tinsy.

O and BTW with that tire you wont need a roll but anything bigger then yes depending on ride height.

Here's a pic of 15x8.25 +0 with a 195/50. Rear fenders are pulled about half an inch and fronts are untouched.

Hope that helps a bit.

How have you been? It seems that the people here on 86G are as friendly and helpful as on TN.com. this gives me an idea that I will post elsewhere. :>

they will look good and they will make your car feel a bit quicker. this tire size is a shorter diameter then stock so it will not look like a truck tire. making it feel equivalent to a 4.55 rear end gear. they will be fun and pretty. i say runn them just be careful while driving those have some short side walls and can damage the rims

I know this is a little older, but I just went through this section of the forums haha.

I run a 15x8 0 offset with a 195/50 tire, and lowered quite a bit. I had to roll my fenders as they rubbed like crazy. no pull just a roll. Then I lowered my car even more and they still clear just fine. Just had to cut the bracket out where the front fender/bumper meet which is a general thing to do when lowering 86's. That was the only fitment issue I ran into.

I agree with Mark's (mandm177) initial response and can confirm Chris' (86boy) personal observations. 0 offset on even 8" wide wheels w/ a 45-50% sidewall on a 195 will be just fine and won't make your 86 look like a 4x4 unless it's at stock height.

I've seen 15x8 -8 fit with a damn good roll on 195/50's

But the roll would be mandatory correct?

Yes a simple roll. I have a Eastwood roller if you feel like making a drive.
