1984 AE86 GT-S SR20DET swap $4500 obo need money bad.

Post by Tatsumaru »

Ok guys I really hate to sell my dream car but I won't eat next month if I don't. I have my '84 full GT-S conversion coupe for sale. It has a complete black top SR20DET swap! Which of course means custom one piece drive shaft, custom cx racing radiator, custom intercooler, custom mount brackets with Nismo R32 mounts, custom tranny bracket with Nismo mount, and full custom wiring. It also has a full custom 3" exhaust with screamer pipe, a manual MR2 rack and pinion, Wilwood big front brakes, ground control coilovers in the front and TRD racing springs in the back. XXR 513 15x8 0 offset wheels with the red line removed, the tires are brand new seriously a week old the fronts are Yokohama Advan Neova AD08 the rears are Falken Ziex ZE-912. Both sets are 205/45/15. Its probably got more stuff I'm not remembering right now. Ok that was the good now here's the bad. There is something wrong with the rear end. I don't know what it is. There is a loud thudding noise when the tire rotates, it probably needs an axle. I just haven't had time to look at it. I do know it needs a new pinion seal it's leaking badly. However those are the only two things stopping you from driving it. I daily drove it for about 6 months until I started having rear end problems. The rear end has been rebuilt once before with the weir rebuild kit. When it went out for a second time I got discouraged and parked it. I've been driving my beater 240sx. Other than the rear end there are just some little things I didn't get around to. The tach and speedo don't work but I have the tach adapter to make the tach work you'll just have to pay Tandem Automotive to put it in for you unless you know what you're doing. Tandem is who did the wiring for the swap. The speedo needs either a manual speed sensor from an old RB or CA tranny or you can get a after market speedo and adapter. The interior is really clean except for the dash is cracked bad. It has the normal 86 door handle problem. The last thing is the body. This thing is SUPER sleeper. The body is straight no dents really but all the paint has oxidized to this like white blue, no clear left at all. It also has two rust spots on the back below the trunk they're not bad. I've had them looked at by a paint and body shop that told me it was no big deal. Hopefully you'll be able to see all this in the pictures. I think that's it guys. I'm asking 4500 obo like I said before I'm seriously hurting for cash so no reasonable offer will be refused. I'm in Arlington, TX. Call or text anytime 817 / 907 / 6096. Also whoever buys it get 2-3 boxes of 86 stuff mostly interior plastic also 2 leather MR2 seats and 6 Celica Supra wheels. Thanks for looking. :various31:
