1980 TE72 Coupe

Post by dr.occa »

ok, so i've re-started work on the TE72 coupe. erickz300 was kind enough to donate a spare 3TC head he had laying around.

here's what the exhaust valves looked like at first (you're looking at the number 3 ex valve here):

after some time on the wire wheel (number 1 ex valve pictured):

the intake valves aren't that bad. won't take as much time on the wheel as the exhaust valves did (which took almost 15 minutes each!).

going to send the head off to get cleaned up and install new stem seals. on a budget with as many cars as i have lined up to get running. the black 86 coupe will be next. if all goes as planned, there should be 4 pre-87 running corollas in the drive way.
