yay, the 4runner has a blown head gasket ^_^

Post by hvguy »

woot, started at 8pm, and I just got the head off "4:30"

I was reading around and people were saying they had a crack in the intake of the head and it was weeping.

I was hoping to god it wasn't that, and just a HG.

btw- the head bolts on a 4runner were torqued to like 6,000 Ft/lbs.

me and a friend had to take turn breaking the bolts loose.

but yeah, ill be taking the other head off as well just to replace the HG to never have this problem again.

and while I have the timing shit off, im going to replace the water pump.

yay for blown head gaskets
