Best thing to do is to suspend your motor in the engine bay with your gearbox mounted up using the gearbox crossmember (i believe a t series crossmember will take a W series box mount) or use wood and move the tail end of the box to where you wont it to be.

Using one of these

Heres one i prepared earlier

Then you make cardboad versions of where your mount , cut them up using some plate steel with a bandsaw, or a angle grinder with a 1mm cut off wheel.

borrow a welder, or buy one even if its just an arc and tac them up. Test fit them, you may need to adjust and modify depending on where it needs to be.

Get someone else to weld them up if you have issues with welding

Then vula, engine mounted:

Welp I have an announcement.

The 2jz swap is to be scrapped. Instead it is replaced with another spectacular and secret engine. Gonna put the 2jz into my 740 Volvo instead. :P

Updates when I things start rolling more. (Sorry, I realize I'm being a little narcissistic.)

Make up yo MIND!!!

On a serious note: why did you originally scrap the 2jz and then go back to it?

More of I scraped the idea of a 2jz. Mainly because I found pre-mounts for my volvo and thought it would be a better fit. I got a crap ton of subaru parts and was convinced by a friend that an ej25 (sti motor) would be a better fit as far as weight distro and originality. The same friend is a genius when it comes to JZ motors so he's building the harness and everything. Since he knows pretty much what he is doing and the fact I found a guy who makes custom mounts for corollas (KE conversions) that it would be a good idea to get those and throw it all together. So now I'm back to the 2jz. Unfortunately though my buddy is now doing the build to speed things up since, again, he know's 2j's better than I do and has the means to make it happen versus what I got. That and the place the car was being stored needed it gone ASAP.

... If any of that makes sense lol.

Round 50-million...

Buddy who was going to do my swap wigged out and no longer wants anything to do with the 2j or my car... *shrug* (Back in January)

Picked up F20C earlier today (Thanks Thaison)... JSP mounts been had... Ok this one will happen now that I have a garage of my own. HA! After I get my the 740 rolling again (mass oil leak) the swap shall happen!! With pics this time. That being said I 'm just gonna start a new thread when I do though so "clean slate". That is if anyone still lurks 'round these parts.
