Those guys are weird, 99.6% of big hp guys are running Holleys or Demons... they're simpler and easier to tune as well as service. To each his own Doc, but don't be mad when Tedd's car is faster than yours!!!!

Don't get me wrong, I know Holleys and Demons are more commonly used and are FAR more affordable than webers or solex/mikunis. I believe the affordability is what has made Holley, Edelbrock and Demon carbs the default carburetor for US performance. Usually dependable technology that is more readily accessible also becomes the more dominant technology until something else comes and replaces it with the same accessibility and dependability. Like Windows based computers in comparison to Macs.

If Holleys, etc were as expensive as Webers and vice versa I promise Webers would be the dominant choice and would have been experimented with and broken barriers further than their more expensive competitors.

Special ed. students? More like the honor roll students Latanzi :P The B+ average students may have the "nerds" out numbered but that doesn't mean the nerds couldn't pass the same exams if not better than their less book smart counter parts.
