here's some pictures in the meantime while I'm waiting on the correct piston rings. Apparently the engine I have is newer than expected. the ECU is a late ae92 paired with an early ae101 engine. lol anyways onto the pictures.
tearing the bottom end apart, and starting to go back together.
little dirty not to bad though.
spots where it looked like a dog puked inside... lol
Pistons after pulling them out and just wiping them off with a rag... still look chiney and new!
same thing... just wiped it off
the infamous 4agze 7 rib block with oil squirters! hehe
oil squirters in new main bearings in.
starting to back together. crank, new oil pump, bearings, arp studs installed and torque'd to spec.
How it was pulled out. All 4 pistons were like this...
After some cleaning
new rear main seal
I don't really care for red nor newer domestics... but I love pink... a lot...seriously...

open diff? that's with a welded diff. haha. I might actually try to see if I can't take a trip down there next summer just to meet some peeps and doing a little sliding... maybe learn a thing or two.
