For you Austin guys, Capitol City Imports has an 84 sr5 coupe sitting in their lot. I figured I would share the wealth :) I'm about to head back there for more parts!

This time with more tools than a pair of scissors and a pocket knife I found in my car...

So I finally went and made that harness for my turn signals. Went to the junk yard and cut off some cig plugs, then used some butt connectors to splice the wires together. And I went outside to test them out. They work!

Only problem is, the white corners are the blinkers and the amber light is the parking light... I don't want to open up the harness and switch the two around right now, so I'll just run this until I feel like rewiring the harness I made.

I don't have my front bumper on there because I took it off to repaint. :) It's clean and black now! But more pictures of that tomorrow. it's dark outside.

I also decided that since my interior was in pieces and I had easy access to the gauge cluster, that it was about time to replace some burnt up LED's. So now it's all nice and shiny again!

I also opened up my headlight switch and re-soldered everything. No more issues! I think that I did a REALLY good job, considering it was my first time to solder...ever. Wish I had picks of the sexy solders though :(

Anyways, I'm gonna go and put my interior back together.

So here's the bumper that I repainted last night:
Image

I woke up at 7am to get those lights on there and start prepping the car. After getting the lights on, I drove the car around and it kept turning off on me. So I jumped it and let it run while I washed it.

Thhen...I decided to clay bar it!

Then polish it:

Then I waxed it and back to blacked the rear bumper.

In the end, you have this:

Image

I almost don't recognize my car anymore! And the paint is silky smoooooooth. :D

Then I went to get the car inspected....FAILED! My car's running really really rich. I'll scan the sheet and post itt up soon. I think it's those CRX Si injectors that I put in for the hi-comp. I'm gonna put in my old blue-top injectors (if i can find them...) and go get it resmogged.

So with the bluetop injectors, the car runs too lean. Then with the crx injectors too rich. So what do I need to do? Is there a way to get more air into my intake? Or get a different O2 sensor? Or maybe injectors that are inbetween the bluetop and crx? maybe just put some redtop injectors on there.... but that means new pigtails and wiring?

Oh man... let's pass inspection first and then try leaning out the fuel level.

i would try running the blue tops and get an adjustable regulator. just because im cheap. and if your really cheap you can just do the afm "click" mod to adjust the afr.but if you are too continue to add performance parts i would say get a good ems and tune for them as they are added.

so i forgot to close my hood all the way after i switched out my injectors... So i was getting onto mopac and then, BAM! All i see is black in my windshield. My friggin hood popped up on me at 50 mph. Scary? YES.

But luck for my, no cracked/broken windshield .... just a busted up hood.

So...the question is... keep my busted hood on the car? or swap on the CF hood for the nst event....?

Alright fellas. So After putting about 2000 miles on this new F1 Racing, Stage 2 clutch....I feel like it slips WAY more than my Stage 2 ACT clutch.

I don't like that at all. During hard driving, it slips on take off and slips between 1st and 2nd. So my question is...how the heck will it hold up in autox and drift events? Sad face.

So, I'm wondering - if I just put in the old ACT clutch disk, will It grip better? Or was it the pressure plate that made it grab better?
