Whats your projected RPM power range ? If you don't mind. :D Those stacks are SO long, I figured you were tuning for a really radical power band.
Bosozuko is a state of mind.

good question.

i'm anticipating the power band will be above 4500 and up. i went with the long stacks to scavenge low end hp/trq which may sacrifice top end pwr. i'm still warming the engine to the 21st century and then i'll start testing AFR to properly jet the carbs.

paint

Post by dr.occa »

unfortunately, funds are low on paint/body work so i'll be re-painting the front driverside fender and headlamp cover myself. my apologies in advance TSEMotorsports

i just picked up my paint (championship white and berlina black) and what nots and should start the sanding and prepping process this afternoon.

-fender & headlight housing cover comes off.
-sand down to metal
-primer
-then paint.

i'll ghetto up a paint booth with my tarps and turbine fan.

pics of process when it begins.

i'm not sure if it's good timing yet. i was thinking about what you and i were talking about regarding the skirts.

if i have enough berlina black left i'll at least paint them to have them ready. any further thoughts about the skirts?

here's a question for kevlar

are these flat sliders similar to the ones you're using?

also, there are these black cylinderical "covers"/chokes(???); are they opened via a vacuum line let say to my vacuum manifold?

dr.occa, those do look similiar.I assume your refering to the vacuum slides, the throttle plates are opened via the cable as normal but those slides open via vacuum.
I'm no carb expert but the idea is to smooth the transition of differing throttle openings,I know mine drives really well all things considered.
