What started as a quick turn around buy/sell turned into a Money pit and can't get it back! (I got it from ICEMAN!!)
Image

The wife saw it and asked me to fix it for her so she too could have a "Toy" to show off at car shows and car clubs...So I was not going to install a junk yard engine in there, as I was planning.Image
So I ordered a true JDM, Hi-compression 1991 Red Top with 48k miles and installed it.
Image
Had to remove the TVIS system as the 91 engine is small ports. Got an adapter from big to small ports and a home made braket for the ERG valve.

THe Body is stright but it does have some areas that needs repairs...around the windshield has some rust spots and around the tail lights had been previously repaired in a very cheap way. I may have to find a donor for the tail light panel assembly...but runs really good. I've taken it in I75 and have reached 120 with no problems...!!

How you like the looks of my garage...My Real Garage!!??!!

How good are you to observing??...can you spot my AE86's Old TEXAS License Plate???

Thanks for the coments guys!
I also owned this one, but sold it fairely quick. I probably had it for 6-7 months. Used to be red and the guy who I sold it to, painted it black. It was a GT...NOT GT-S! This unit was a 4AGE AUTOMATIC with O/D! My friend turn it into 5 Speed!

Yes, especially at this point...my friend had cut springs but then the rear springs are actually from another FX FRONT SPRINGS!!
So it had 4 FRONT springs all around. This thing was a little stiff in the rear but it was like a slot car talking curves!!
I got it to tech my younger daughter to drive instead of giving her my AE86 before it was painted, the family van or her older sister's Neon.
THis thing was cheap on gas and easy to drive for her.
Then I went a got the Matrix and sold this one.

Well, the FX was just for training purposes and it was cheap price too. But my wife and I were not going to give her a ride that had no AC and not as relible as a new ride. I was going to get a Corolla S but the local dealership only had CE models with no power options and the MAtrix Xr's were all standard. The only automatics they had were the base models but at least they had power windows and lock...so a stock Matirx is what we got. I was also going thru some work related training having to travel to Atlanta and needed a more reliable ride for me while the wife drove the family van. SO we were in kind of a bind at that time. I remember I got itduring a weekend in the middle of a 2 week training in ORlando. I travel back home for the weekend and picked it up.
Found an actual picture of how low the AE92 is seating currently. But I have OEM srpings to install upon my return.
