hey guys just filling yall in on what im building. some ppl have seen my car lately and were like i thought you had a 20v. right now i have the spare (brooklin accent) "race motor" 16v with motorcycle carbs that prolly puts out a whooping 110 hp at the flywheel but im giving it hell at events and still doin pretty well i might add after the carbs were tuned. but soon i will have my 20v back out that i hope will do what i want if not gunna do a 50 shot and if not then prolly go 1uz. but for now 4a all the way

sittin pretty

Taka Aonos old 20v setup toda cams 304 dur. 9mm lift, toda cam gears, also have trd valve springs

for those interested heres the "race motor" hahaha after the above pics the 20v was out monday. tuesday vic-robert was like were goin to mean streets i said shit i pulled my motor lol, he says here put this in and blow it up hahaha so weds i get the motor after work start at 12am finish at 4am next day wire it up and fri swap tanks and drive it. saturday off to mean streets lol what a week!!

got the block back from cleaning and boring

piston next to the stocker
new one is a true 11.1-1 so the total compression should be 12-13-1 goin with a cometic 1mm head gasket just to be safe since im gunna rev it HIGH

Image

weight on the ups scale not the best, but what ever

time for the head

So with that clearance is this an interference motor now? Looks like if timing is off they'll bend your valves.

Nice work btw!

well i would say it has more of a chance but thats why im playin safe and goin with a 1mm head gasket. there are lots of ppl with crazier setups like .8mm with the head shaved but im not worried about the comp. and luis at paradise racing said i prolly wouldnt tell a difference between .8 and 1mm prolly not even on a dyno

how does the 20v head work with high comp pistons like that when they are cut for 4 valves?

is this safe?

no update as of yet still waiting on the headgasket almost done with the ports. lone star bash was fun but i hate that motor lol cant stand it anymore. i gave it its all to 8000 and just left it floored the whole course and could bearly maintain drift.... this 16v ftl want my 20v back, even stock would be better hahahaha
