NicT's Trueno Notch (crap Hack)

Im just going to bomb this page with what ive done so far.
Ive been cruising around the site looking at everything and i have to say i wish i found this a lot sooner then i have!
I originally built a Lexu v8 1uz crown as a bit of a all round cruiser. But the itch to go sliding has always been in my veins, so i listed it up for sale so i could start building a tt131 corona or some other cheap toyota when the offer for this car poped up.
Straight swap for my crown.
Seeing as the crown cost me less then $2k US to build i swooped in on it and ended up with this:
Specs were,
Cuscos adjustables front,
G series Hilux diff rear
AE92 rear brake setup
W55 gearbox
A-W custom bellhousing
Chinese Dmax body kit copy
And some average wheels
So i binned 90% of the body kit and it ended up like this:
Then i signed up for a learner skid day and decided my clutch was too slipper so upgraded it to a AE101 GZE flywheel, and exceedy 2200lb pressure plate and organic clutch plate
Here she was 24 hours out from track day
Track Day
And why at the end of the day, everyone now needs to wear helmets
10mph roll in super slow motion
Then i got better wheels
interior
Flipped centres
More drifting
Last owner stuffed the guard before i got it. Seeing as id rather spend my money on go before show i decided to make my own improvements to it instead of replacing it.
Then i collected some bits
Bought this head off my mate
314 Duration Kelford cams, underbucket shims and Kelford valve springs
Specs here:
http://www.camshaftshop.co.nz/index.php ... w.tpl.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
His last engine dynoed at 118kwatw with a nice big fat torque band which would make me happy
Then started pulling it apart for the swap over
Started fabricating new inlet manifold
and thats where i am as of today.
This weekend i hope to finish my manifold, test fit my ITBs and then move on to the exhaust.
