Here she is, 1982 Toyota Corolla Liftback, 3TC and auto [really] and bout to be gutted:

The motor doesn't turn over, the interior is sun wrecked, and the car hasn't been driven in about a year. This is all a different story from what I was told back in June when I started talking to my buddy who owned the car until yesterday when i went to Ft. Hood/Copperas Cove to go get it. I still wanted it, and I know it will take a lot longer now to get it together, but eh, I should be mad I was told wrong. As I proceed with the car, I will detail all I can in pics and narrative and I will share here as well as my site for my dfw based club.

Thanks for looking.

Also, this car was originally Sandstone, so another beige car for me. I will be sanding it down and rattle-canning it. This car will look totally different from how it sits now. The headliner was dropped tonight as well, it had been just dying in its place, but I am gonna be gutting the car.

Are you going to keep it 3TC or go with a different plant?

for now, get the 3TC running...and I know how strong they can be... if all hope is lost on this motor, I will start looking for something with a little more power

If all else fails, I might go 7m for the car. Thanks to a couple of friends, Colton and Brooke, we stripped the majority of the interior already, since it was so badly destroyed.

Today I took out the headliner and will be re-wrapping it in some fabric just for kicks. I will be adding a Wink mirror to it as well. This is going to be a very low budget, slow as hell build.

So I got bored after work and took some more pics:

I took more but they are really just redundant shots. I have the air filter and all, just it is in the car. It was taken off here once it was brought home. She just sits waiting for me to have money to get started.

The suspension I am interested in. I am just straight budget broke right now. After January I should be able to start buying the nice stuff for the car. If you still have it then, we will talk, make arrangements.

As for now, I want to get this thing running. Anyone in the Dallas area that would like to come over and help me, please do. I am available any weekday after 4ish and all day Saturdays. I would like to get it started, and able to run.

Hit me up and I will pm an address and phone number. And please bring tools, I admit I don't have nearly enough.

It almost reminds me of a scirocco but it's RWD which is even better.
