Water pipe y u no match up?
Solved: thanks to mooreofit for the donor 4age piping. Using a new 4age water pump for now since it seems to line up with the pullies properly. It almost fit perfectly, and still leaves clearance for the knock sensor. Ordered from toyota for about $100. They seem to have most of the stuff needed.
I had to grind down a tiny corner on my 7afe block to make all the bolts line up right.

Thanks to drift for the 4age head! Cleaned it up and found a cracked valved. Replaced that, lapped the valves, and replaced all the valve seats. Then adjusted the clearance. It mates perfectly to the 7a block using 7a head bolts & 7afe tensioner. The 1986 porche 944 timing belt fits perfectly.

eh, I'm not entirely sure which direction I'm going to go yet. Still in the air about building the 7age or not. If I turbo the 7a, yea MS3 is what I had in mind. For now, I plan to run n/a 7age and build up the rest of the car (brakes/suspension/etc). Right now I need an alternator bracket. Damn things are hard to find. LMK if you run across one please

Me personally I'd just get it up and running. The car will run sooner without turbo. While it's getting use to its new lease on life you can planning and getting your turbo project together.
The actual base or the channeled arm for tensioning?
