I recently killed me motor (end of the summer 2007). So as of now, the car's sitting in the garage waiting for an engine swap. I'm planning on doing a 20v Blacktop 4AGE ITB set up. Something similar to
this. We'll see how this goes. I need to come up with the money first....
EDIT: Went smallport hi-comp instead.
Mods List (or at least what I can think of):
Battle Version Suspension Links
Tanabe GF-120 Lowering Springs
Tokico Blues
K&N Cold Air Intake
Konig Rewind Rims 14x7
Shine Hybrid FRP JBlood Copy Bodykit
JDM Kouki Rear Bumper
Repainted Unknown G35 Color (Maybe the G35 Athens Blue?)
Here are some pics:
When I first got the car and replaced the front fenders/hood:
Took the car on a photoshoot, but lost all the pictures except this one:
And the car post paint job/mounted bumpers/sideskirts:
When I first bought it:

So...I drove up to Atlanta to pick up a JDM Hi-Comp redtop engine. Crazy drive. Picked up the engine before the snow began to fall and headed out as the snow fell. Here lies the engine:
I replaced the water pump pulley and I'm going to start putting on the intake and everything before we drop the motor in.
I worked on the car with my friend Clint (guy with his shirt off), who's a mechanic GENIUS. He's been working on cars since he was little. His dad owns a shop and they fix semi's/18 wheelers, so he's got a lot of experience under his belt. And man....we're young, haha.
So our method of pulling out the engine? First, fold a nylon rope into fourths and wrap it on the engine hooks:
]
Grab a trusty 2X4 plank of wood:
Get two strong guys to lift it up and out....Clint and my other friend Asim lifted the engine (because I'm WEAK). And I maneuvered it over the chasis to keep it from bumping into thigs. As the engine was being lifted....the wood begins to crack. But we were lucky and here's where the blue top sits, ready to be stripped down:
Bare engine bay:
Ready to be cleaned and ready for the redtop!
Check out my stance, I'm ready to go off roading! haha, I dunno why I am so amazed by this....

So, I started working with the intake manifold to figure out what I was supposed to do. Since the killed engine was a largeport and the new engine is a smallport....I needed to get an adapter plate to get the holes to line up from the old intake to the new engine:
I bought it from T3 (Techno Toy Tuning). They have a buncha parts that they machine for soooo many different cars. 240's, corollas, datsuns, etc.
So this plate replaces the butterflies in my old intake so I figured I'd swap it out.
Here's the whole intake manifold...or well, most of it:
The butterflies:
And the vacuum lines and the sensors and stuff:
So i noticed that if I was going to use this new plate, i needed to figure out what I was supposed to do with the hoses and stuff.
Solution? Just plug the hose for it because it's eliminated. I'll put pictures later.
I've done a lotta stuff, but I'll update that soon. I got my fuel rail in and my injectors, so I should get everything up and going somewhat soon.
And I got a CF hood! I know...tuner stuff. But I just love how CF looks and well....it's SUPER LIGHT! Which I think is awesome. I'll post pics later.
Test fit the VF hood....didn't really fit. It's now sitting in the garage...[/b]

So I went autocrossing this summer:
And that eventually lead to:
So my passenger wheel bearing exploded on my right at the end of summer.
And I started to work on it this weekend. I had all the parts ready and then....I found out that my bearing had melted onto the spindle of my car. :/ So now....I have to buy a replacement strut housing. So no car until then. Totally sucks.
I'll upload pics of my melted bearing, which has been massacred by an angle grinder, hammers, screwdrivers, metal tubes, and even fire. And it's still stuck on there. There was so much friction, that the bearing melted on. Lame....
Also, I'll share some pictures of my MANGLED suspension bushings. Some were completely shredded....
Time to replace them with my poly urethane bushings!
The mangled wheel bearing (after cutting, burning, hammering, chiseling, etc) still stuck on there realllllll good. Sorry for the crappy cell phone picture, but I didn't feel like using a real camera:
My sexy pile of parts (Nardi Deep Corn 350, NRG quick release, foglights, three-note air horn
, stainless steel brake lines, polyurethane bushings, JDM turn signal bumper lights, porterfield R4-S brake pads (not pictured, USA made blank rotors (not pictured), HKS Sport Exhaust (not pictured)...and I think that's it.... oh...A/C system:
Now I just need to get crackin...

I have no idea what you mean by that, hahaha.
And the struts are in, poly bushings are in, and i test drove it last night for the first time in two and a half months! It was amazzzinnggg.
Now I gotta fix the REALLY bad rear bearing.... And by that I mean, I need to swap my LSD rear end in :D

Copied from other forum Jan 9, 2009:
Took some sweet pics. Sans car-wash....
And update:
My front driver wheel bearing exploded on me now... And YES I did replace it when I replaced the passenger side ones. I guess I didn't do it right. Or I should've bought TOYOTA parts instead of from Advanced Auto.....
Once again, I am.....car-less.
