86garage meet
86garage meet
I have been hearin a lot about having an 86 garage meet. I was thinking we could do some big meet up in conjunction with the scion expo coming up in may. Im sure we could talk micky at tse into giving us our own area and NST will be doing a drift demo at this thing as well. What do you guys think????

Unfortunately due to many many different reasons, which I don't want to go into right now, we can not allow everyone to get seat time when we have demos. Which is why they are called demos, and not drift events/competitions/practice/grind days.DjSpecter wrote:I hate to say this but when you say meet and NST drift demo can we like get some track/drift seat time up in this hoe to?
If enough of you (that means more than one or two people) are seriously interested in having a practice day and are willing to pay $50 to $100 per head to make it happen, then we can talk about it in the future.
The rest of you who may be reading this and may want to participate as a demo car... get your cars up and running, make sure they are very presentable = no major dings or dents, no mismatching paint, no missing bumpers, no mismatched wheels, etc. and give us a call. We can then take your submission and have the board vote on it. You can then be on the list of contact names, should you get enough votes.
See you at the Expo!!!
:D
P.S. Actually showing up to our demos, bringing people to spectate and go for ride alongs, and showing general support for these events is more likely to get your name in the "demo bag" than posting in threads and asking if you can drive with... support leads to support, lack of it leads to no more events... your call.

Sounds Great.............
wait wait wait.....your saying we cant get seat time cause of reasons?? may I hear these reasons besides saying "oh the insurance wont cover you unless you get hurt" I mean, I like demos but i cant stand standing around or even looking at people having a fun time when I know I need / want to be in there. Yea I may not have a clean paint job or even the same 4 rims or dings or dents but come on do you see anyone else that does, that is not sponsord or has mommy or daddy giving them money? I know im sounding like a dick but sorry I been wanting seat time and cant afford to be stopped by cops every time i see a good corner and try and take it. Or greddy ass people that never want to talk about drift spots? I mean when people say COME TO THE DEMO IT WILL BE GREAT OR KEEP DRIFTING OFF THE STREETS. Ok now where esle do you expect to get seat time???? Now Im all for the 50 to 100 buck drift event but I need to know when and where???? Sorry if I came off as a dick or even a douche but it gets me mad when people say you need a good paint job and no dents or 4 matching rims to be in it. I may not be sponsored I may not have a good solid amount of cash to throw away to make my car look "D1 GOOD" But I do have the will to learn and be better and try to get as much seat time as possible.
What you need to understand is this is not a drift event. Its a NST drift demo being put on by non stop tuning. Its not a event where noobs go out and learn how to drive. Its where we go showcase how good nst products are and how skilled nst's drivers are to promote nst products and company. No offense but if you want to drive in these events you have to earn your spot by working hard and being dedicated. I have worked extremely hard to get invited to these demo's with a very small budget and I started at the very bottom. I find it pretty offensive that you feel "entitled to drive" when I have never seen you at an event or seen you drive when there are lots of events in texas that anyone can enter. If you are serious about driving do some research and get your stuff ready all the info you need is readily available and there are drift events at least once a month.
Aside from that this is not just a drift demo its a huge car show that hundreds of people will be attending. Will be fun regardless of weather your driving in the demo or not.
