But how do you become a mod on here? Im jut curious cause I seen some people with high post counts giving very good advise and help people out and there way over 400 posts. YES I KNOW POST DONT MATTER. But then I see some with VERY low post and there mods. how deep are your pockets mr. vorhees?

seriously though, i'll give you some history which may shed some light on some things (not everything of course ;) ):

pecx is the creator of 86garage. he befriended me some years back and asked me if i'd be interested in giving him a hand w/ the forum when he established it. the others were approached because of our knowledge of their character (you know, trust worthiness, patience, etc...) but only if they were interested and willing. the rest is as the old adage goes "...is history." :D

some members (mods or not) may not be very active here but they may be quite active in their own lives away from the monitor and keyboard. there's not a great deal of management necessary here on 86garage so far. my personal observation is that it's mostly a "to the point" community.

another advantage of the admins & mods that we do have is for checks and balances. we discuss concerns before taking action.

did that answer any questions?

Almost like the free masons?? LOL im jk But yea it answered my questions. Cause I owned a 240 in the past and was on Texasnissans.com and 240sx.org and asking simple questions like that got me no where. So it was impossible to ask questions like that. I either got stupid answers or got no one to answer. But thanks guys
