this is why i was sayin. solid link bars for around a hundered bucks

http://www.hrpworld.com/index.cfm?tpc=L ... n=category

alot of really cool stuff on that site. pnumatic air jacks , really nice tilton floor mount pedals and instrument cluster\timing\lap counter gauges.

i'm looking for center of the bolt hole to center of the other bolt hole measurement but im sure i can get an average between the two uppers and then the lowers and go from there.

the question is really what is the length of aftermarket 4 link bars with out the heim joints. that way you can make your own 4 link set for a fraction of the cost

there is approx 1.625" of thread for each 5\8 x 16 rod end.

for the lateral bar im going to make it so the treads are sunk half way. so with a 3\8's thick locking nut that should be about 3\4" of an inch of the bolt held by the lateral bar.

from the bottom of the threads on the rod end to center of the rod end bolt hole is 2.625 inches or 1" from the top of the threads.

so for one rod end ill be looking at 1 and 3\4 inch total length out of bar to center of the hole.

so two rod ends = 3 1\2 inches. minus that from the hole to hole measurement of the lateral bar or controll arm hole to hole measurement and you have your bar lenght.

follow link for rod end blueprint.

thats the whole point. with the cheap rod ends and 1" alluminum tubes you could get the 4 links for around 100 bucks. but i think the lateral bar is around 32" so maybe they can make one or you will have to peice one together but i would question the rigidity. but 100 bucks cheaper than the ebay one with a better quality. 8)

check out the shnazzy blue alluminum ones.

ok well then this might help you. it is a diy 4 link and panhard bar on c4ag. it says the panhard bar is 27" the upper arm is 7" and the lower arm is 14"

http://forums.club4ag.com/zerothread?id=6414

but i have found some other evidence on t3 site

here is the t3 arms on the t3 site. if you look at the lines on the grid. that will give you an indication of the length.
Image

here is a picture of the t3 crank pulleys on the same grid. in this picture it shows the grid measurements and from that you can guesstimate the lengths needed to make your own
Image

also if you read the c4ag "pinion angle" assasin10000 seems to be the most informative person contributing to this subject. he actually posted his 4 link measurements that he set for the correct pinion angle for his car
assassin10000 wrote: The car doesnt have to be perfectly level. You match the engine/trans angle, it can be done with the car sitting on the rear bumper if you wanted to (just not on it's side).

If you want to try the following length's, it should get you close to 4deg if your lowered about the same as TRD springs do. (Going by some quick calc's in my head.):

9 13/16" Uppers
18 5/16" Lowers

Andrew

on the 3rd page ronny posted the OEM arm lengths
ronny wrote:rob, here is the measurments.

stock lower link is like 18.5 inches from center bolt to center bolt.

stock upper link is 9.5 inches from center bolt to center bolt.
hope this helps
