i have this one on now......
the coolant holes are of concern to me

my cometic is identical in pattern.


i also wonder.....


just keep the correct amount of coolant in there and it will help lower the acidity of the water and keep electrolites to a minimum.

if you hook up a voltmeter to your radiator on a system that has two dissimilar metels. ei:alluminum and iron it makes a crude one cell battery if the waters ph is acidic. you should see about 2.2v

as you probably now this is what causes the premature oxidization and rusting of the iron.

when i pulled the head on my ae101 the motor had 110,000. on it and at least one of those ports where clogged with rust and oxidization. so i to am dissapointed in having even smaller restictions in the port...

so the holes and grooves that are slightly blocked off are not too much of an issue?

i dont think it will be an issue. if you look at the trd you posted it has about the same sized holes in that location
