EGR delete..

WOuld deleting the EGR valve throw a cell code? Cause i see on alot of cars when I went to a meet yesterday didnt have a EGR valve or they deleted it. I know on the 240 that I had all it did was hurt gas milage. And that is something that I can live with. All I would do it take out the egr and cap all open vac lines and make a blanking plate corret?

no it will be fine with out it there is no sensor that monitors the egr. yes just make a plate and get some rtv and cover the egr port on the intake mani and you can use a trans fill plug for the exhaust
