lol, i'm just finally getting back on the forums after recouping. think i may have an ear infection...

had a really good time.

a BIG THANK YOU to Aaron and Heather for putting me up and feeding me and Aaron's brother Dustin for the fabulous burger and Aaron for the pork and corn at 5 in the morning. another HUGE THANK YOU to both Aaron and Dustin:

-Dustin's owl like ability to see what he was doing when pulling my burnt up alt (killed it taking Pablo -Alex' brother- out for a little "spin" in the Home Depot lot) in the dark and installing a spare one that Aaron generously provided.
-Aaron also for his eagle eye in replacing my alt plug (which i had put off changing for the past 5 years) also in the dead of night without the aid of "illumination". with a torch solder pen to boot!

it was a pleasure meeting Alex (aka mexellent) and Mark (aka mandm.

Aaron and Dustin took me down a few fun childhood roads, Bear Creek and Farm Rd 4 (or was that 5???). Awesome drops on a couple of them!

We made it out to the North Texas JNC meet and saw some nice old datsuns and what i've always known to have been available; an RWD maxima! a silver R33 showed up as well. a few 240 guys came out and hung out: Pablo, Joe and David w/ son. Aaron's buddy Chris arrived in his war plane, shark painted miata. went and picked up some sushi soon afterwards.

in fact, on my arrival to DFW, Aaron surprised me by showing up at the shell where i was waiting for him in his freshly done Levin converted hachiroku! it's always nice to see one since they're few and far between in general. a kouki to boot w/ fogs and a koyo rad! very clean conversion.

ran into a 240 driver w/ an RB25 swap at the shell (was it Darrell or Darren Aaron? i'm so awful with names!!!). they both had to inform me on the limited number of really decent meets, groups and setups. then, after leaving and making our way to weatherford what did you think we saw in the far right lane on I-20 west: a metallic gray R33!!!

before heading out to the roads and meet, we tried fixing Aaron's surging idle to no avail. we replaced his distributor o-ring in hopes to stop the leakage. then we moved on to finally changing out my gas pedal to a celica/is300 pedal i've been sitting on for several months. i nearly flubbed that up by getting too exuberant with the hammer. fortunately, i was able to perform a slight rescue and she's all straight and in working order.

so, we'll have to do another but bigger. maybe we'll go to austin for lime creek...

I think Austin is a good central location and just the thought of Lime Creek puts a smile on my face

Yea... I'm planning on making it out and I'll bring you that corner lense too. I'd also like to get the Tokicos from you.

Is this a parts trade event too? I have some parts Id like to get rid of myself. I have some front coilover type spring setup that you use with your stock strut tube with some tokico adjustables to go with em. Plus some rear tokicos and springs. Its basically the old suspension I was running. I dont have the front tube/spindles as im using them with my megans. I have no idea what brand they are but I can post pics.

Im sure I have other parts to get rid of too, I'll check my stock.

What was the date for this meet? Im really going to try and make it. Gonna mark it on my calendar and everything! lol

i just happened to have something that he needed and he had something that i needed. kinda worked out, but by all means, post up what you have available. someone might see something they need.

Aaron: The tokicos are yours free of charge, provided you come that day!
