I run ngk iridiums... I believe factory gap is .043...they should be pre gapped.. but that's the gap if you wanna double check. hope plugs fixes it for you.. I was hunting down a similar problem.. and it turned out the was a little corrosoin on an injector clip.. cleaned it off and instantly ran better. This was after a new cap and rotor. =/
Best of luck, hope the plugs work out

change the plugs to ngk iridiums earlier but still sounds to boggy to me it's around 800 to 900 rpm at steady idle i know normal idle should be around 800 but it sounds like its about to die. it sounds good at 1200 to 1300 rpm. ill post vids later on so maybe anybody can help me. tnx. fixed my driver side mirror it was flimsy due to poped spring inside, but figured out how to compressed the spring it took me a long time to fix it heheheh. but got it pressed real good feels like brand new when you push it backwards & forward.

check your timing it could be retarded a little.
also open the distributor cap and if theres oil in there it could be grounding out your spark causing a misfire. also was there any oil on your boots when you changed the plugs? this could cause a bad idle problem.
also rivan says that if there is air in you iac than it will cause weird idling issues. i'm pretty new to the 86 and dont now too much about the 4age and its electronics.
also my little brothers car idles at 1200 rpms or so but thats because his timing is advanced a little
