My 86 Hachi coupe
Its to small it won't drain fast enough and the oil backs up in the line. you need a fitting thats the same size as the one on the turbo. Lots of 4a guys blow turbo seals/turbos because they use the oil cooler return for the turbo return. I don't know maybe its just a t25 thing but I think it goes for all turbos.

thanks for the heads up. my drain i added was a 3\8th npt barbed fitting. ill have to double check but it looks the same size on the 4age oilpan. i also ran a t25 with that 3\8 drain. the hole is actually more like 5\8ths though if you've ever seen a 3\8ths npt tap you'd know what mean. its actually recommended to drill out the hole with a 38\64 bit if i can remmember correctly.
also i have a gt series turbo now that i havnt run yet and those gt's have a restricted oil feed so im assuming it might work. if not ill make it bigger. but again thanks for the heads up.

yeah I heard this is more of a problem on gt series turbos apparently they are very picky about oil return. If you have a diffrent size fitting on the pan it backs up enough for it to cook the turbo cause it can't drain the hot oil fast enough. This is with a restrictor as well from what I've heardmooreofit wrote:wow you are right!!
the hole is only 3\8th's or so on the 4age definatly needs to be larger!

Man I want my car back
Clocked the turbo the right direction today and got looking at the oil feed line they sent with the kit and it doesnt fit the turbo correctly. The return line flange doesnt bolt up either. Ive emailed em about it and am awaiting an answer. Oil line goes on top correct? Only reason I ask is because the feed kit seems to want to attach to the flange for the drain side. I'll take some pics.
Though they did say the kit didnt include banjo water fittings yet the turbo came with them installed on it so who knows!
Maybe Ive got something backwards.
Top hole is threaded
Bottom drain flange area not threaded
Im assuming this is the return flange??

my buddy chris bought one of those chees fee\return line kits and it didnt bolt up either. you dont want to use that!
also you dont want a restricted oil feed in the standard t25.
as far as the right fittings try a reputable company like atpturbo thats where we got the right ones.

I figured Id end up getting new feed/return lines for it. At least I can easily get water lines for it now. And the wastegate line needs to be extended due to rotating of the housing. I noticed in their picture they show it not even hooked up in their "mock" up on the car. Overall I still think its a decent kit for the money. Now their welding skills on the downpipe are laughable. How hard is it to line a flange up to a pipe?
So which side is the feed and which is the return?
