i found a guy here that can do custom exhaust. i just have to give him spec's. he can only crush bend though. thats why i was wondering if it made a big diff if you crush ss.

Yes, it makes a difference. No, you cant just go up in diameter so that the crushed bend is the same diameter as you would have your bend if it were mandrel bent.
