No idea. With the brackets on like in the picture it weighed in at 13.2 lbs. Stock was 23 lbs.

Did a little disassembly today. Hopefully the head will be removed tomorrow. Anyone take the head off w/o taking the cams out? Looks to be a 12 point 11 mm for the bolts. If I do remove the cams on the largeport head are the valves going to need any adjusting once its done? Im probably going to end up sending it to the machine shop first.

the cams do have to come out to get all the bolts out which is a 10mm 12 point.

no the valves wont need to be adjusted unless they needed it before hand (unless its apart for any lengthy period.do not store with the cams in the head it can weaken a valve spring.) but it doesnt take much to do i would recommend that you do it on assembly anyways.

alan is right: cams have to be pulled. no way around it. 10mm 12pt is correct.

alan, what are you saying!? keeping the cams in the head isn't going to weaken it anymore the fully assembled engine under the hood thilly man. :P

Thx for the info. I just finished pulling everything but the head now. Now I gotta get new gaskets for the oil pump and whatever the rear flywheel cover thingy is. I cant for the life of me find that on toyotapartszone though.

Head came off today, didnt get a chance to go to the machine shop for it though. Bought a full gasket set just so I could replace everything today with new radiator hoses etc. Old ones were nasty. Trying to figure out how to use the oil sandwich plate for turbo feed purposes. Im dumping the stock oil cooler in favor of that.

you can use the stock oil cooler outlet, just get a fitting for it. or, if you really want to use your sandwich plate, drill and tap it. only bad this with this is you would get "dirty" oil to your turbo. before it is filtered.

i just got a "t" where the oil pressure sensor is and as soon as this motors in the car ill delete the oil pressure sensor and just run an aftermarket gauge so i can keep the power steering pump bracket.also your not adding a volume\pressure drop before your main and rod bearings going this route

that is the best/most common. i believe the adapter you need is 1/8 bspt.
