Awwww....
I was really hoping for a 200hp NA 4 cyl. 146hp 2.0 means its probably some single overhead cam parts bin special. On the plus side, Boxer engines are RIDICULOUSLY light. They even put the 4AGE to shame.

Another neat-o read-o: http://www.ft86talk.com/forums/general- ... -date.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
From FT86 Talk:
From FT86 Talk:
i would assume that to be worldwide.
its not confirmed from my dealership, but after a chat thats when it appears they are hopeful of expecting it. (sometime in the final 3months of 2010)
from all accounts interest has been very high on it, hence deposits have been taken and the garage I spoke to already have 3 (inc mine) as good as sold for release date.
if you can afford it at the moment, it may be worthwhile also putting down a small refundable (should release date/circumstances change) deposit, (more a goodwill than an order deposit) as once a date is confirmed from Toyota i'd put a bet on it that you can ring up 30 mins later but end up on a 6 month waiting list from launch (if dealership expectations/general interest are anythign to go by!)
- my dealership in the UK also only expects to get 3 or 4 in for release, and approx 3 cars every 1/4 of the year from then on.. so i would expect a waiting list if you leave it nearer [especially if each dealership only gets 3 or 4 for release then your already almost guaranteed to be on a waiting list now at my local garage!] ..
I have purchased many cars via my dealership (5 in last 6 years) so could be a reason they are happy to take a deposit/reserve my place at this stage with so little known of the FT-86 .. but its got to be worth a try at your dealership anyway
