COMPLETE Setup can be cheap. Just depends on what rotors you wish to use. Price is going to be $200 for brackets and machining rotors. Rotors are as low as $20-$25 a piece and can be as expensive as (I imagine) $100 a piece. I picked up calipers for $40 a pair. Do some math and it comes to about $300 with pads on the cheap end.

So you do need to machine the rotors? Will you also sell the rotors or do we send them to you?

You have to machine a different bolt pattern on the rotors... that's it. The rotors on the Mini Cooper slide over the wheel studs where on the 86 they bolt to the hubs. Oh... and you have to cut a small 45 degree angle in the middle hole to clear a radius on the corolla hubs.

I chose not to include rotors in the price because different people prefer different rotors. Some want cross-drilled/slotted, some just slotted or just drilled, some prefer a brand, and some just want cheap rotors that get the job done.

I'll do the necessary modifications needed to which ever rotors you choose. This also helps you determine the price of your brake kit. ChrisPee gives me an awesome discount on parts including rotors.

Picked up some calipers today. They need cleaning, I know. But just wanted to test fit the bracket and make sure the holes lined up.

So what brands/types of rotors can you get & for what price?

Me and Mark went with Brembo blanks at about $45 each. ChrisPee could get a nice looking set of drilled rotors but I think the price was closer to $90 each on those. The cheapest set was about $20 per rotor. I'm not going to spend alot of time trying to find multiple sources for rotors. If you have a certain type you prefer feel free to ask and I'll pass requests on to ChrisPee but if you have a brand that tickles your fancy like Power Slot or EBC just buy them and somehow get them in my hands and I'll machine them.
