Go Toyota internals! Dont have the boost controller hooked up, so I thought Id see what she would do. Still needs some dyno time though.

hows it pull? i see rpm spikes. when i had my megasquirt running it would do that but my car would buck and surge like crazy. could never figure it out. anyways looks like theres no lag too.

It will still buck in first and second, not sure whats going on there yet. I think its a tuning thing though with the fuel tables or possibly timing. Yeah lag isnt an issue at all, It starts making boost at about 1700rpms. It needs alot of tune tweaking to really pull good, but its defintely faster than it was before. I only have a couple things left to do before I send her to the dyno.

drop the spark plug gap to 35-40 and see if the buck goes away. also whats your afr like during the bucking? mine used to do it also but if i let off just a little bit it would stop and i could get back into it agian. or for short periods of time it would do it above 90% tps all the time.

I havent reviewed the stuff yet to see when its doing it. It really only does it in 1st and 2nd, especially in 1st. At first I thought first gear was just wrapping out really quick and I was hitting redline, but it was actually bucking.

Dropped off my modified downpipe at the welders so hopefully that will get done today or tomorrow and I can finally finish bolting up the exhaust system for good and really get to drive it around some more.

Got the exhaust finished up, only to find a small oil leak at the oil cooler feed port. I dont look forward to fixing that seeing as how hard it is to get in there with the oil filter on. I'll probably take it off to do it though. Wish I had more time today to finish it up but I guess it wasnt in the cards. Monday I'll probably get her back on the ground and go for another test run. (with boost control this time haha)

Finally some news!

Fixed my megasquirt issue and the car runs WAAAY better and kicks me in the ass when boost kicks in. I'll get a vid of it after while when I can do some logging runs too. Im looking forward to dyno tuning now.

Just 7psi is absolutely amazing feeling. First gear is absolutely pointless now. Fuel cut happens before you can blink.
