hate to but in but this would be a great buy for some one as a whole car.

you can sell it for 3k and give that guy his nine and u would be left with 2100

unless you paid more for it then i would ask that amount.

...and the speedo rings on the transfer side of the shaft are different.

are they? I put the tranny out of an sr5 in my car and the speedo worked fine for about 6 months before the cable broke

maybe it puts the cable in more of a bind then if it were in the right spot? dont know i have never had that problem Orig. gts. lol

I think it broke due to old age but it seemed to work fine before that

i'm surprised yours worked. if you take both speedo gears; the SR5 and GTS, and put them side by side, you'll see a difference in number of teeth and size of the plastic end gear. toyota's designated them with separat p/n's as well.
