Did I mention that I killed the 2nd 20v engine in only 1200 miles? Was so frustrated that I sold all my 20V shit (Water kit, loom, dizzy kit, engines,...)
Right now I'm doing a mild 16V. I'm really tired and frustrated to kill 20V's. They can't be found for cheap here in Europe. They are about 2000$ an you need to wait for weeks until it arrives from Japan. Spring is coming and I want to drive this season, that's why I decided to go back to the 16V. Will do a standard bluetop with little head work and some cams. Sure I won't reach the 190hp from my last 20V build, but at least I'll be able to drive.

Oh, and because forums are all about pics, here's a shot from last shoot I've had before the car broke down on the way to the trackday. Had to hit the track with my daily instead of the hachi :-/

Both of my 20V's had some oil problems. 2 times the rod bearing from the 2nd cylinder died so bad that it scratched the rod and crank. If you hear the bearing making noise it's already way too late. Second engine had a destroyed (badly scratched) rod, crank and the cylinder walls had slight damage to

I really can't say what the reason was on both engines. But it was 100% an oil problem. Never got the engines to an engine shop to get a really acurate diagnosis
I just were to frustrated, so I sold all the 20V shit for cheap and might be one of the few who is doing a 20V => 16V swap in an AE86 :-D

I kept the Haltech ECU and the ITB's from my previous setup so you all know what's gonna be next 8)
