The TRD wires I have have 9000ohms of resistance, waaaaay too much. I have an MSD setup just sitting ready to be installed so Im gonna hook it up and get it going too. Im just not 100% on what exactly needs to be changed for it. Stock distributor work with a 6AL or not? I have that and a blaster 2 + tach adapter and got some Nology wires.

Oh and we switched to 7 series plugs, the 5s were way too hot. I dont remember the gap. I know when we switched it picked up 20hp across the band.

i ran 04 sti plugs, that is quite a bit of resistance for plug wires. as far as the msd is consurned it should work just fine.

Yeah I was trying to figure out how to wire it in exactly. Looks like the General Imports diagram is the one I use, no magnetic pick up is necessary.

One of the wires had almost 10k ohms of resistance in it.

theres a write up on corollacarclub in the diy section on an msd install on the 4afe. should be identical as toyota has the same ignition code designations eg. igt, igf,ne+ and so on.

a question on the arp head studs. how much did you cut off the stud for the dizzy gear and did you cut it off the bottom or top?

Just a small update on the car, sold it to a wonderful person up in Frisco. Hes taking good care of the car and has already done some re-tuning on it! New tune is still at 8psi because the wastegate on the turbo isnt function correctly and wont let him turn up the boost. 173hp 163tq

Sad to see that thing go but still good numbers! Any plans for the future?
