So, the cheapo ebay coilovers came in. So i could drop the front of the car! I took dr.occa's advice and bought some 95+ corolla sleaves and coils. The fronts strut housings were SO EASY to take out, compared to what I remember with my 86.

I didn't have any spring compressors so...I used a giant zip tie! Ghetto, i know:

Then I got the tophats off, and look at the bushings that fell down from somewhere:

So, I decided to play with them a little bit. And they broke EVEN MORE!

Then I got the sleeves on there:

THen on the car:

And viola! Here's the drop:

I want to drop it more...but the tires won't clear. I need to get some camber plates and roll the fenders a bit....

Took the front bumper off, it looks 100000X more aggressive. Now I just need to source a small bumper from the older corollas.

this is how you can tell an old lady used to own this car - she sewed the speaker covers back together...

other than that, I swapped in a new fuel pump and I also rebuild the carb, yet the car dies on me if I let off throttle... any suggestions?

idle mixture and idle speed screws would need to be adjusted back to factory just to get her back in the ballpark and then go from there.
