hmm maybe but whenever the lsd works it would constantly be working if it was in good shape but instead of transferring power to both wheels it just only is to the passenger rear wheel as of lately but i'll try to check the links and seemooreofit wrote:but that shouldnt cause your car to pull during normal driving.

when the clutch packs fail in the lsd it will act like a regular open diff. unless theres something really torn up wich usually means a noise of some sort. all i was getting at is its worth a check before replacing. i would just put it in the air and check for drag if there is none then i would suspect an issue in the rear end and if there is on only one side of the rear end i would make sure the brakes arnt draging then go in from there.
if your doing one wheel peel outs then the clutches deffinetly need replacing.i would rebuild it or weld it.from what i hear the aftermarkets drag just as much at low speed turns as a welded diff so whey spend the 700 bucks.
p.s. im not saying you dont have a diff problem its just worth a check.

If it's pulling right under load and only under load you have something not tight in the rear suspension. A worn out bushing or something.

mooreofit - yea i had it in the air and it seems for sure the clutch packs are out im just going to try to get a rebuild kit i would love a cusco, trd or kaaz but im not baller yet haha so til then it'll just be a rebuild kit for it when i have some of the dinero
@ mckenney - i checked all under the car and inspected the bushings i don't see a thing wrong with any of them im guessing it's just the lsd clutch packs going out but i like to double and triple check things so when it's rebuild i'll inspect it more

Re: dave's 86 build
figured i'd update the build thread
been putting in a freshly rebuilt motor i'd list everything i have done so far but im too tired to type it all but main things are sr5 bellhousing swap to gts bellhousing (finally), new everything in the motor, been swapping stuff over from my old motor to the new so that's kinda taking some time, egr delete, still looking for the bolt to plug up where the egr meets the exhaust mani (pita to find @_@ )
went in and re-loomed the engine harness so it looks like a brand new car engine harness i'd say pretty much just taking my time and doing things right
will post pics when i have time so far i just want to get it over with so i haven't taken many pics
pressure washed the engine bay and cleaned it up probably will clean it more once the engine is in

Re: dave's 86 build
***UPDATE***
shit isn't going right when i filled up the radiator with coolant all of a sudden it started leaking a little bit
looked around and noticed it's dripping all from both sides of the block going straight down (really not happy to see that)
what a way to spend my break from school and on christmas
anyway im wondering if it was torque'd down incorrectly
or maybe the headgasket is warped due to that maybe now i gotta pull the head and check
someone want to buy my car??

Re: dave's 86 build
only if it falls to pieces or is damaged when removed. sometimes it is nessisary to crush the headgasket to do comp ratio calculations and such. but everypaper type gasket ive used has always fallen apart.
