um, so you dis-assembled a perfectly good running 86 w/ 12a rotary: why?
it wasnt running, and he said to take it apart to clean it, its been sittin for a LONG time.
Btw, when I pulled the clutch press. plate off, I saw something..... amazing.
Reminds me of the clutch I saw at a certain supra owners shop.
Remember, only real men use unsprung clutch disks.

I cleaned the inside, lookin very nice.
After I removed all of the extra parts from the trunk, I noticed it had the OEM trunk mat.
Cleaned it up and its back in shape.
I also took the liberty to spray in plasti-grip on the clean, rust free trunk to prevent future rust and scrapes.

well, its got triangles for pistons. And its got a bent crankshaft.und-R-steer wrote: AH yes.... rotory, the misunderstood child of the performance world. Hot plugs and the BIGEST carb you can find makes em happy.......or so I've heard.......don't quote me on that.
Really...... I know nothing about those engines at all........ :D But it looks cool.
Its only has 4 bearings, and 3 main moving parts, which is greatly efficient. Everybody says they blow apex seals like crazy, but if that were so, they wouldnt put them in production cars
Keep in mind, you get what you pay for. If you buy junk seals, expect to be rebuilding that engine soon.

sorry, guys. performed some necessary "cleaning up".
let's keep it civil fellas.
anyway, in regards to your "only real men use unsprung clutches..."
keep in mind, you didn't before discovering the one in your newly acquired "86" and since it's not running, you're still not using one. "catch my drift"?
