so....looks like one of my jets is shot on my carb. so i'm thinking about either upgrading to a weber/solex down draft. or considering a possible side draft set up... hmmm...

anyways, here are some updated pics of my car! lowered in the front and rear - ebay coilovers and 2 in lowering blocks. threw my rewinds on there. threw on a MKI golf "duckbill" front lip. And also made a custom bike rack for my bicycle!

Freaking bad. Watch those fender slits did that on the front of my wagon when I rolled them flat they tore. now u can see it on the outside did the rest without doing that and came out better lookin good tho need to do a wagon build thread on my 81

welp, swapped a weber 32/36 on it and it runs fantastically! I just need to get the A/C all fixed up for summer! :D

In other news....I picked up a set of bassetts from David aka "prime123321" this weekend. 15x10 with 4" backspacing. Which according to what I've looked up online they're 15x10 -38.

yeah yeah yeah, call me crazy. I don't care. I test fitted them today just to see what kind of flares I would be needing.


Needless to say, they're pretty intense. They stick out about 3" from the front fender lip & 2" from the rear fender lip. When I measured from the body of the car for the flares, it looks like they stick a little over 4" in the front and a little over 3" in the back.

I'm planning on running some of the ZG flares from a 240z


I figured they would fit because this is what it looks like on a 240z:


Since the ZG's are a 2 1/4" flare, i think it might work. I have to measure again to be more precise...but if it's larger than that, they have SUPER ZG flares that are like 1-2" bigger.

I might get diff sized wheels for the front... Maybe with a diameter of 8? Regardless, nothing a little bit of ONICAMBER can't fit :weapons59:

hey man! i honestly have no idea. I saw one pull up at the speedhunters/mayday nostalgic meet in houston, but that's about it. The only late 70's corollas I know of are mine and Jonas's te38 wagon in Houston :/

I hear there are some in San Antonio, but I don't know any of the guys either...

On those coilovers you got, did you set the set of 4? woud you be interested in selling the other 2? ,,,,, mine has the springs cut and they suck

yeah, for sure. i'm not sure if they'll fit for your applications... how is the rear suspension set up for the 79 corolla? i know mine are leafs in the rear

They are leaf too.... put I wanted to see if I could actually modify them to use them in the front.
