reset headlight motor

meant to post this here i posted in electrical on accident but


i changed out the headlight motor on the passenger side b/c it went out

so i get it in and when i turn the lights on the driver one goes up and the passenger one goes down lol

and when i turn the lights off the driver one does down as it should but then the passenger one goes up @_@


anyone know how to fix this??

Sounds like tension arm adjustments are off.

i wouldn't even know how to adjust them correctly

Try manually rotating the motor until both sides are up or down then hit the switch.

Check the headlight retract relay.

i checked that too seemed fine to me

Swap with a known good one? or pinout test?

after hours or adjusting that link/rod betweent he headlight bucket and the motor i finally got it right took long enough

You don't know it but you're enrolled in the school for 20+ year old Corolla repair and maintenance.

lol yea been running into small snags but figuring them out slowly the link on the headlight to the motor was way mis-aligned

if u haven't figured it out yet I would try disconnecting one, say the right side while its in the down position, and while the rights disconnected and down, and the left is still connected and in the up position, turn your headlights off so that the left one goes down then reconnect your right one and you should be good to go... I assume, I've never actually do this.
