There are alot of ppl that say diff things.

this is just my 2 cents.

if the headers are mild steel "easy rust" dont wrap it. It only helps the rust thing. Try for a shield.

Stainless headers take more temp to get hot. You can wrap them and cool the outside down.

if you want it done good you will spend prob around $250-$300 in wrap to go as far back as possible.

ive used it but am not a fan of it and only use it if i have to. make sure you soak it before you rap it. ceramic coating is the way to go.

Be sure to use a high temp silicone spray (DEI is a good choice) and allow some time to dry BEFORE you wrap.

Actually, you should've sprayed the headers BEFORE you wrapped them as a rust inhibitor.

even stainless will have holes after a year or so under wrap.my stainless headers on my monte are rusted to crap after only a year and they were never wrapped. wrapping an exhaust encapsulates the condesating moisture and will retain it accelerating the rust 3 fold.if you soak the wrap in water you will get a tighter wrap.you want to spray the coating after its wrapped a high temp rust inhibitor is a good idea before you wrap.

p.s. if your dizzy seal is leaking replace it. oil header wrap and retarded timing = torch. i know this from experiance
