Ignition Switch Plug

Post by BKH808 »

On my ignition switch plug on the dash harness when hooked up it get nothing and does not turn over but when I switch one of the pins down I get power and gives power to the starter. I found this out when I jumped it and it turned over.

What exactly am I missing/ doing wrong?

What its suppose to look like

But when I de-pin the far left one and bring it down it gives power.

Hmmm, well the pin you moved from the top to the bottom is either pin 1 (B/W wire) or pin 4 (W wire). Makes more sense that it's pin 1 since that's the starter wire.

Strange how when you move it down it energizes your starter. I don't believe there's even anything at pin 5 to connect to. You've got a bit of a conundrum here BKH808.

Was this working before or are you doing some sort of a custom build? What car?
There are no spare parts, only unfinished projects.
