hmmm, i saw some celica ones for $43 shipped... Will the perch size fit too? Are all toyota struts the same size, so i won't have to worry about the perch being too big/small?

With the dual DCOE style intake manifold, I was having clearance issues with the longer 2TC distributor on the 3TC motor. The portion of the distributor with the locking clip was hitting right up against the intake not allowing for any proper advance to be adjusted in. Basically, it kept the motor at pretty much full retard.
The red arrow is pointing out the offensive culprit in question.

Picked up a LOOOOONG neck distributor that came on the 2T-G twin cam versions of the 2/3TC motors which came in the Corolla Levins, Celicas and Carinas during the 70s. These motors came equipped with Toyota's licensed Solex/Mikuni side draught carburetors.

You can see the marked difference between the 2 distributors. The 2T-G distributor obviously being the one on the left.

The body of the distributors (the portion that houses the points/vr sensors & trigger wheel(s)are nearly the exact same dimension.

Quick update on the fuel delivery changes for this shtick:

Was having issues with one of the factory fuel pipes (the one for the 3 & 4 carb). It was a T type but I cut off one end and tried closing up the open end but missed a spot. Suffice it to say, fuel was dripping out. Rather than messing with it any further, it was a perfect excuse to get some new shiny things for this troublesome child.

Just some -6 an to -6 an (= 3/8 hose) push lok fittings & hoses.

In order to get it back to daily driving status, it needed a new battery so NST fit the bill with their line of Braille batteries and fancy, shmancy tie down.

*EDIT: Quick info for those curious - the center pull for the carbs is actually a new/old stock mikuni center pull that was specifically for Toyota w/ an actual Toyota part number for their 2TG & 18RG equipped models. Interesting how I also needed the distributor from the same motor models to properly clear the intake manifold. Just saying...

In with the new "Ta Dahhhhhhh!"
Couldn't get new adjustment sleeves around town and didn't want to spend $20+ dollars on new ones on line when they're only like a few bucks each. Anyway, front inner and outer wheel bearings will be next on the list.

Here's how she sits on the bassetts:
