what does this thing do

im not too sure what this thing does but the wires were broken when i looked under the hood today im not sure what it does or what it even is

anyone know?

its idle up sensor puff air in the manifold far as i know it helps with cold start ups i ran my car with out it but seems to turn on better wit it on so i would just leave it alone
