If was for an apprenticeship then I'd be on it. I know how oxy-accet, plasma, arc, and mig (a bit rusty though). The class I took never got to tig, because the teacher insisted it was the easiest.

If you just want to come try Ill give you a shot. You can sit there till you give up hahaha For real I have soo many ppl that claim they can weld on thin stuff but cant. Its like welding on something as thin as the sides of a 12oz can.

Lol - you're gonna need alot of material. I love welding. Or did since I haven't welded in years (9th grade). Never touched the thin stuff so I make no claims.

Lemme see if I can get some free time next Monday or Tuesday for me to travel to Houston. :D

I have a TIG welder that I might be able to send to you guys. He's good.

Do you guys heatsink the surrounding area of the fillet / butt / lap / joint or whatever the position is? This makes welding thin wall material much easier. Then also coupled with back purging. I would love to weld for you guys but I make 80/hr TIG welding where I'm at now. ;)

You know it's isn't too late. Purchasing a TIG welder would be an investment in your future. It would be like a portable shop or welding service store :tu:

Miller Diversion 165. Cart, unit, cover, misc collets, bodies and cups. Thinking $1,200. Works great I'm just starting to have a higher work load and the Diversion can't keep up with my Synchro.
