welcome and good luck on finding one....they are around, just getting more sparse
Re: I want my 86 back!!!
I found a sr5 coupe for cheap but its not in the greatest shape. I think i'd spend more fixing it and converting to gts than the car would be worth....maybe i'll just hold out for a gts

I know how that goes
Re: I want my 86 back!!!
what exactly are you looking for, and whats your budget?
I know of a turbo coupe here in Dallas/Ft Worth for sale, and i have a an SR5 shell with a 20v blacktop swap and all of the parts to make it a running car...its just in pieces. It has almost a complete gts swap, just missing a rear end.

Welcome.. It be cheaper if u go across the border,(but I'd be careful with all the things going on down there) than over paying for one in the states...
Re: I want my 86 back!!!
I havent been across the border to Mexico in quite some time...but ur probably right about finding one over there. mandm177: send me a PM about the sr5 shell w blacktop swap. If u have any pix that would be awesome as well.

Re: I want my 86 back!!!
Welcome!!! My advice, is to hold on to you find the one you think is right. GTS's are harder to find in good shape. And if they are, there gonna be really high $. I got mine for a steal, BUT that's because I came with cash in hand. But the car wasn't perfect either but chassis was straight n no rust! I've seen the sr5 madm117 has and is really not bad. It would atleast give the oportunity to build it your self and get to know it's ....... Good habits n bad ones if have them! Since you haved owned some you should know what I mean.GOOD LUCK man! And don't give up on it!!! It's an AWESOME chassis to have!! I have a blast with mines!!!
TILL IT REDLINES HACHI!!!!!!!!
