Scion FR-S/Toyota 86...planning on getting one?

So the new 86 is about to come out...I was wondering if anyone here is actually planning on getting one? I remember when I heard it was coming out I calculated when I would pay off my mazda 3. So I paid it off early and I'm just waiting for the 86 to come out! But I forgot that there's always a zenki and kouki model...since I like the kouli better I've decided to wait it out until the kouki 86 comes out to decide which I like better and then I'm going to the toyora dealership and buying the 86 lol. Anyway kinda strayed away from the question...so who is seriously considering getting one?

I was considering it...but i think i'm going to hold off until i sell off my other things first. I got 2 non-running AE86 corolla shells that need to be put together/sold, and an extra blacktop with goodies that i need to put into my daily.

Also hearing, that they plan to release a special edition year after year, so that kind of has me worried too...i don't want the marketplace to be flooded with FRS's.

Oh snap I didn't know they planned on making special editions year after year...ugh yea I hope it doesn't get flooded either that would suck...I mean I like that toyota is bringing it back and I hope it does well but I love the fact that the 86 owners are a close niche of people...catch my drift??? Lol

When does the fr-s come out ? and u know they are going to a lot of them on the market place with them with all the hype that's been going on with the release of the new 86..

Its suppose to be due in the summer I believe...and yea it has a lot of hype I think car and driver rated it one of the five cars to wait for in 2012 back in 2010

subaru has already started taking preorders for the BRZ. i think they're hoping for a May delivery.

What sucks, is that neither Subaru nor Scion have released pricing for their cars...i think that's the last major piece of info that everyone is waiting on...

True that I keep reading that its around $25,000...-_- wish it was closer to like $20,000

Im not a big fan of the boxer motor and i just havent been as thrilled as I thought I would about a new "86". I also think that the BRZ will out sell the FRS, it just looks better than of the two. I am mad I missed Cars & Coffee yesterday cause it seems a BRZ came out.

IF!...... I was to buy one, it might be the BRZ. ........... n I might just wait for the STI version. BUT I have read in at least 2 magazines that the FT86/FR-S is better handling than the BRZ. Don't if is true, but they say the BRZ understeers much more than the FR-S. I'll have to test both of them to actually see but........... I still like the way BRZ looks over FR-S

If they price it base on Japan price would it be $30k with strong Yen at this time?
